"Capture" is our city watch section and contains several series. Currently on display are Dapeng's recent series of "THE MOMENT" and "DESIRE". The former one records and expresses the city’s emotions based on the creator’s personal perspective; The latter one is based on a collage of a series of urban fragments; the individual works of each series speak out, and when we examine the works together, it seems They can be heard either in faint whispers, or in deafening cries.
"THE MOMENT"
"Life is the moment we turn a blind eye"
Regardless of composition or color, visual stimulation will only bring people a short-lived pleasure, and photography purely for the sake of vision is not attractive to me. The most touching life
The place is its roughness and contingency, there is no script, no rehearsal, the delivery boy waiting for the traffic light, the sanitation workers under the night, the passengers waiting at the train station, Children who leave school on a snowy day just want to objectively and frankly record the present moment, their state and emotions at this moment, without theme, prejudice, or distinction. i long for this one. A scene that is fresh and fragile and cannot be replicated can be properly preserved.
I think what can really represent a city is not the bright and beautiful in the propaganda film. These flesh and blood, accessible life fragments are the "core" of a city. These shots seem to have nothing to do with the city's business card, but they are also the most important parts of a city. Authentic business cards.
The city is a stage, the architecture is only the background of the city, and the simple architecture is cold. Only with the intervention of people and behavior can the architecture come alive and the city can have warmth. The really important core of the city is the large and chaotic art scene of "life", with eyes open and heart beating at any time.

“DESIRE ”
The frenzied construction based on empiricism and functionalism, the unbridled "exploitation", is leading to a crisis. Utopia and dystopia, ideal country and catastrophe, such a series of assumptions about modern cities exist because of the deep contradictions brought about by urban development. As a construction practitioner, how should you respond? We live in an era of virtual screens, an era filled with a large number of information fragments and image bombing. Images are an important medium of expression. Images are documentary in nature, but collage is a kind of conjecture and a kind of emotion. The catharsis is also a metaphor. In the face of fragmented information bombardment, please remain rational, critical, and thinking.
